Locum General and Breast Surgeon
Fixed Term - Part Time
(26.5 hrs per fortnight) until 4/09/2017
Ballarat Health Services (BHS) is seeking to appoint a part-time (13.25 hours per week) General and Breast Surgeon with a broad base of skills as a fixed-term leave replacement post from 3 July 2017 to 4 September 2017.
The successful applicant will have FRACS and be prepared to work across the range of general surgery as well as providing specialist breast surgery carried out at BHS. The role will be responsible for an outpatient clinic and an operating theatre session per week as well as ward rounds and administrative time as per the demands of the workload. The role will attend a BreastScreen meeting per month, a fortnightly MDT breast meeting and a monthly General Surgery Morbidity and Mortality meeting. There will be no oncall requirements. The role will have a supervisory role over junior medical staff.
