Patient Services - Emergency Department/Admissions Office

Permanent - Part Time

2 Clerical positions - 1 x 28 hours per fortnight & 1 x 26.5 hours per fortnight

 

Ballarat Health Services (BHS) operates the largest regional hospital in the Grampians region.  It is the principal referral hospital for the entire region, which extends from Bacchus Marsh to the South Australian boarder, an area of 48,000 square kilometres.  More than 230,000 people, or 4.4 per cent of the population of Victoria, live in the Grampians region.

The Patient Services department at BHS currently has a vacancy for 2 clerical positions.  These positions are based in both the Emergency Reception and the Admissions Office.  The successful applicants will be required to work in both area of the hospital, providing a Patient Centred approach.

 

This is a significant role within Patient Services, providing administrative and clerical support across Information Management, as well as excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

 

The Patient Services roster is a 24x7 roster, with a number of shifts incorporated into it.  We are looking for two people with good availability as these roles will incorporate leave support.

Essential: Previous clerical or clinical experience is essential
Desirable: Experience with webPAS and BOSSnet
Desirable: Medical Terminology qualifications
